THE VILLAGE
Forest Row is a village in the north wet corner of East Sussex approximately 7 miles south of East Grinstead. It can trace its roots back to the 13th century and a history including fires, robberies and hangings It has a population of 4500 and is large enough to support shops, several pubs, hotels and businesses.
The village architecture is a mixture of traditional and modern with many of the older cottages in the classic Sussex style of hipped roofs.Nearby within the parish there is Weir Wood Reservoir, a Site of Special Scientific Interest that is the largest area of open water in the county and hosts a wide variety of resident and migrating birds.
