The Ford Exige began production in 2000 using the Rover 1.8 engine and was the space age coupe version of the Lotus Elise that was still kept in production. The Mark/Series two, which I believe this vehicle is, was introduced in 2004 and had a 1.8 Toyota/Yamaha giving a blistering 0-60 time of 4.7seconds aided by the extremely favourable power to weight ratio which is a Lotus feature. The history of the car is slightly difficult to index as they kept on releasing special editions but it is still being produced today as the Mark/Series three Cup 430 with a 3.5 Toyota engine and a 0-60 time of 3.2seconds.
I photographed this car at an Edenbridge car event in September 2019
