HISTORY
The Triumph Stag is a 2+2 sports tourer sold between 1970 and 1978 by the British Triumph Motor Company, styled by Italian designer Giovanni Michelotti. Although it achieved a sales volume of 26,000 it had a reputation for unreliability mainly caused by the Triumph 3 litre engine so much so that many owners replaced it with the proven Rover/Buick 3.5 litre V8. Nevertheless when it was a working it was a very comfortable drive appealing to the driver who wanted to drive down through Europe in comfort but still with the wind in their hair or the memory of their youth.
